Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive Listening Systems (ALDs) are amplifiers that bring sound directly into the ear. They separate the sounds, particularly speech, that a person wants to hear from background noise. They improve what is known as the “speech to noise ratio.” ALDs also include alerting devices and other household and work related items to make living more easy. ALDs can be used with or without a hearing aid.

Chicago Hearing Services offers a wide variety of ALDs including TV devices, alarm clocks, alerting systems, amplified and captioned telephones, and microphones. Contact us for more information on how to amplify your hearing so you can experience YOUR life!
